Chris is the founder and owner of Infinityblu Dental Care & Implant Clinic, one of Scotland’s best known and most respected dental brands. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field and a specialized focus on dental implants and full-arch restorations, Chris has built a thriving group of 12 highly regarded dental practices across Scotland. Infinityblu is known for its commitment to exceptional patient care, cutting-edge technology, and a culture of continuous learning and mentorship.
Chris’ journey into dentistry began graduating in 2001 from University of Dundee. Chris immediately developed a passion for transforming lives through high-quality dental care and had a drive to ensure excellence in patient experience, and to bring a fresh, patient-centred approach to the dental industry.
Infinityblu Dental Care & Implant Clinic was born out of Chris’ deep commitment to delivering not just quality dentistry, but life-changing outcomes for patients. His vision was to create a dental brand that offered more than routine care—a place where patients felt listened to, respected, and part of their own treatment journey. This vision for Infinityblu and for what it stands for has shaped the brand from day one, as Chris opened the first Infinityblu practice with a focus on personalized, patient-first care.
What started as a single squat dental practice In the Highland village of Pitlochry in Perthshire, has grown into a group of 12 successful dental clinics spread between Perthshire, Stirlingshire, Fife and the Scottish Borders, each sharing the same dedication to clinical excellence and outstanding patient service. Infinityblu has become a trusted name across Scotland, widely recognized for its uncompromising commitment to quality. Infinityblu now has grown to over 40 dentists, 10 hygienists/therapists and over 125 team members.
From the start, Chris built Infinityblu with a patient-centred philosophy at its core. With 20 years’ experience in dental implants, Chris is known for his expertise in complex implant procedures such as full-arch dental implant restorations, where an entire set of teeth can be replaced using dental implants. Carolynne has been part of the team at Infinityblu Pitlochry since 2010. She now works between Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Auchterarder providing high quality private dental care and dental implants.
Carolynne has completed her postgraduate qualifications in Dental Implants at the Campbell Academy. This now allows her to offer a complete range of solutions for her patients. She also has a keen interest in Facial Aesthetics.
When coming to see Carolynne she aims to provide you with a relaxing and informative patient experience and wants all her patients to feel comfortable and happy during their visit.
Tim Tabatabaie

Tim graduated from the University of Glasgow and has been with the Infinityblu team since 2019. He works between the Crieff and Pitlochry practices carrying out general dentistry and placing implants.
He enjoys spending time getting to know his patients and working with them to feel relaxed whilst having treatment.
Tim carried out his Implant training at the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry and enjoys being able to offer patients fixed and natural feeling solutions to missing and failing teeth.
Outside of dentistry Tim is a big rugby fan and enjoys skiing during the winter months.

Komathy graduated from University of Malaya in 2005. After 3 years in general dental practice, she pursued Master’s in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Surgery) at University of Edinburgh. Following 3 years of clinical training, she passed MSurgDent which enabled her to register as a specialist in Oral Surgery. Komathy has a wide range of experience, working in dental practices and dental hospitals over the past 17 years.
Komathy has been lucky to join the Infinityblu team providing oral surgery related services and intravenous sedation. Komathy receives both internal and external referrals. At Infinityblu, we work closely to provide best possible care to patients. Following oral surgery treatment, patients are then referred back to their General Dental Practitioners for ongoing care.
Komathy provides dental extractions, surgical extractions, tooth exposure for orthodontic purposes, soft tissue surgery including biopsies, tongue- tie release to name a few. Intravenous sedation is available in house for dental treatment. This is a great alternative for anxious patients.
Outside work, Komathy enjoys rock concerts and baking cakes
Sebastian Mylchreest

After graduating from Dundee university with distinction, nearly 10 years ago Seb first worked first in Dundee and recently in St Andrews. He is a very experienced member of the team having completed the prestigious Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, gained a certificate in periodontal surgery through Perioacademy and is a member of both the UK Association of Dental Implants and the Faculty of Dental Surgery in Glasgow.
His continued desire to learn and travel nationally and internationally for courses to improve his care has led also to a special interest in laser dentistry using this for several aspects of implant treatments, gum disease care and complex gum surgeries.
For several years now his focus has narrowed towards implant dentistry and giving people their confidence, function and smile back with the most modern digital techniques available. This ranges from a single tooth replacement all the way to replacing an entire set of teeth with comfortable fixed teeth that are not removable. He also mentors other dentists within Infinityblu who are starting out on their dental implant journey and finds this very rewarding.
Having worked in a private practice for most of his career and being part of two teams that have won prizes for ‘Best Digital Dental Practice’ in Scotland, Seb’s aim is to provide you with the very best that dentistry can offer, in the most comfortable and predictable way, often showing you before we’ve started what the end result will be. All of this is in efforts to keep you firmly in control of your treatment from start to finish and beyond.
Seb grew up in Edinburgh before moving to Dundee for university. Both at school and at university his passions were football and playing in several bands and orchestras. His hobbies now include golf, travelling and keeping his overweight cat on a diet! His parents still live in Edinburgh whilst his sister works in Leeds for a fantastic charity.

Michelle Bonthrone

Michelle qualified as a dental nurse in 2011 and has worked in the Dunkeld practice since it opened in 2017, becoming Senior Dental Nurse in 2021. She has a passion for Oral surgery and Implantology and her expertise in these areas lead to her acquiring the role of Chrome Lead Coordinator in Oct 2023. She is a Qualified Sedation Nurse and assists our Specialist Oral Surgeon Dr Komathy Mcbay in providing IV sedation for all treatments including Chrome GuidedSMILE.
Michelle works closely with all our Implant Surgeons both clinically and behind the scenes planning cases, training nurses and coordinating all Full Arch Implant procedures.
Michelle is the main point of contact for patients undergoing Full Arch Implant procedures and with her experience and knowledge her aim is to ensure that all patients have a smooth and stress free experience with Iblu.
High standard patient care is something that Michelle feels very strongly about, and she gets great satisfaction being part of a patients journey – seeing the end results and how Chrome GuidedSMILE transforms the patients smiles and lives for the better!
Outside of work she is a keen runner and hillwalker, currently she has bagged 71 Munros! Michelle also enjoys taking her two children on biking and paddle boarding adventures.
